Wife of Enoch
Enoch's Wife
Scriptures don't talk about the wife of Enoch. We can figure out about her though and what type of an example she set in her life by what it says about the city of Zion (city of Enoch). I really wanted to express my thoughts on what type of women she must have been. We know ghee husband was called to be a prophet and prophecy among the people. She would have had to be a strong God-fearing woman to stand be her own self and stand behind her husband. Living was alongside her husband in the city of Zion. Makes me wonder when her husband went outside the home of she possibly went along side him?
We know from the Pearl of Great Price that the people of Zion are described in moses 7:18 Lord called his people Zion, because they were one heart, and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness, and their was no poor among them. with that scripture we know she was seen by God with those in the city of being one heart in him, and one mind to serve and believe in his word to love righteously. We also know that their were no poor among them. God called the city of Holiness even Zion.
We also learn from Moses that Enoch led the people of God in faith. She must have had so much faith like her husband in god that she knew exactly who God was. She would've been able to learn and listen and do the things needed to be done to be a fellow example alongside her husband. In Moses 7:21 Zion, in process of time taken to heaven. Being alongside her husband she would be gone with him to where God took Enoch's city, because in Moses 7:20 Lord said Zion shall dwell in safety forever.
A comment my mom said to me after general conference was " she was sitting in relief society. They were talking about the new ministering program and she had a thought cross her mind. That thought was 'this is probably how the city of Enoch started. By getting to know one another's need'". That now being said let's go back to one heart, one mind, righteousness and no poor among them. How in our life can we through ministering of one another's needs provide a one heart one mind in righteousness so there become no poor among us spiritually?
Enoch's wife is included in those that God lifted up to heaven. We can think of her being a ministering Angel among those she lives with helping take care of the needs that they needed being Christ like in example. As the ministering went on and the impact on the society spread through each deed. Living among all them that no one was poor physically and spiritually. She lived the word of God and taught others and cared for them as will. Praying for each one , making sure all needs were met fulfilling each other's needs. Serving one another and accept the service from another. One of the things that crossed my mind in time of need was to let down my stubbornness. But I would be serving another by accepting to be served. If no one has a need to be served them how can another give service? It would be a world of limbo. No growth! I was giving them service to be able to serve me. From there went my acceptance of yes please help me. I am overwhelmed and I can use a meal tonight. Especially since I will be all day at the hospital with my child to take care of his medical needa. Thank you! I really appreciate the service and kindness you bring to my family!
Ministering co.we in just so many ways, so many different aspects of helping make a heavy heart lighter. So we can find the time to be able to find and serve the lord. I am truly thankful to all my ministering angels i have had in my life. May God open our hearts, minds, in righteousness that we can be ministering angels to those we see might have a need. Whatever we might be able to give its what the Lord wants us to be able to give.
