Life Outside the Garden for Eve
Oh how life on the outside of the garden would have changed for Adam and Eve. Can you imagine always having God close by and then leaving and the way you know it hear from him is a voice coming from the garden! How would your life change of you had to go through what they did? Do you think their might be been a time that they could forget about god? What about now bearing and having children of your own? How would you feel now to rely on your labors to make sure you had the necessity needed to survive? Makes me think when my own child graduated from school my thought were i hope a raised him to have what he needs. It makes me wonder if heavenly father feels the same way. I can only imagine that he would.
Since they were told to care for the Garden and animals within it would be one of the learning and something they would be able to reach to their children. Now Adam and Eve has to work the land to get results that they were taught with in the Garden but not so easily given to them. They now had to be more of a team working together and relying one upon the other to get the results they needed to make sure their needs were met.
Adam would now begin to know his wife learn the emotions of a women and would learn to understand her needs. Eve would also get to know her husband learn of his strengths and weaknesses as will as understand him. I can see each one of them praying for the other for their family and making sacrifice in serving each other. They would work together to fulfill and make the sacrifices that God even commanded. Through having children they would now feel the way that God probably felt about them making a mistake and rejoicing when things went good for them. They would began to know the feeling of joy in their lives. Plus the heartache they must have felt learning one of their sons (cain) killed another son(abel). What grief must have come over them in that time. In Moses 5:16 ok when they ceased to call On God is when they began cain. Even our first parents forgot to call upon God they struggled at that time to remember god. To watch children and generations after them go through loving God and also those that loved satan what happiness and what pain they probably felt.
In the scriptures it even talks about how they could hear God's voice from the Garden call upon them. Adam became an example for his sons on how a husband and a father could be. Eve became an example to her daughter's on how a mother and a wife could be. Together they were an example to their children in how to call upon God and love the commandment that were given to them. They passed through generations upon generations the things that would be taught from parents.
They made their sacrifices for all generations to come here on this earth. They taught their children the ordinances of baptism and the priesthood and being a partner to their spouse. They taught that free agency and that eternal life was attainable through their living.
As a mother i can only imagine Eve's maternal instincts. The prayers that she offered up for her children to enjoy the blessings from him. Probably even praying that her children would make the right decisions to follow or return to him. Even though she knew the choice was theirs and theirs alone to make. The love she gave to them and the generations that came after. Eve showed all of us woman from the beginning the heroic maternal instincts she had. She was willing to walk down the valley of death to bring forth to all generations of this earth life ,an understanding of joy and despair. She loves us all that came after her that like any mother would love to see us all make it back one day to her.
She even taught us all how to work along side our spouse. The patience she had for him and love would be eternal.
