Mother Earth

Why should we study mother earth? What does she have to do with scriptural women and what can we learn of ourselves? She is mentioned in Moses so why not study her. 

In Moses 7:48 And it came to pass that Enoch looked upon the Earth, and he heard a voice, from the bowels thereof, saying wo, so is me, the mother of men; i am pained , I am weary, because of the wickedness of my children. When shall I rest, and be cleansed from the filthiness which is gone forth out of me? When will my creator sanctify me, that I may rest, and righteousness for a season abide upon my face?

When talking about mother 🌎earth it reminded me of many different things especially the creation. How man came from the dust of the earth. She also had other creations developed in her making. The flood of the earth being a representation of babtism. showing us that all living things need to abide to a higher creators laws and covenants. It also shows to me that she the earth  has pain, and gets weary of the filthiness she feels daily from the creatures that are on her face. That she represents a mother praying for her youth the creation of their soul to do good in their life.

So many societies have had a way of showing Mother Earth how they feel and give her representation to all life on the planet. Mythology the earth is represented as a goddess. A Lot of times people refer to her as Gaia the meaning and blessing of being the creatures of all life. The movement is said comes from primitive societies that values the matriarchal worship. Giving a representation to the soveriegn, nurturing, and motherly aspect of providing for the life created. We call mother nature giving the common expression of a giver and sustained of life. Embodying all life on form in the aspects of a mother nourishing us all through her body. Then in death 're-absorbing all life back to give new life back. Sustaining and sacrificing her own salvation  so we as human beings can enjoy life upon her. With each living thing having an effect on each other. Such as the plants give us oxygen and in return we give carbon dioxide to the plants. Giving the earth a personification of motherhood, having the fertility to grow life, giving a creation to all the beauty around, but can be destructive in nature when on the way path of pain.

Through some of the things I read about Native Americans belief of mother earth. The thing that hit me the most was we have mother earth and father sky. In life we can not flourish one with our the other. Giving a value to one another's roles to maintain balance with nature and the people around us. To strive to love in unity one with the other.

The way we treat our earth many believe is in a reflection of ourself. A way that we as human being value woman hood. Being a reflection of how we feel women should be treated on a whole. Because we as women are as the earth have a life sustaining aspect of wanting to embody the ones around us we created by providing the things they are needed to grow physically and spiritually.

We can learn our role as a women from the earth. The beauty and peace we try to bring to our ho!es. We at times want the realization of sovereignty giving us an empowering knowledge of who we are with our own feminine aspects. We  have a nourishing personification in helping others and wanting to serve those in need and finding balance for all around. We embody the life we give or take care of to provide for their needs physically and spiritually. When angered please do not get in our path way like the storms that come in our life but we can get through them and learn a great deal to teach others that they hopefully don't follow the same paths.

I remember in seminary one of my teachers said " you can find God in all things. You just need to look! " another quote I found is " all truth can be found in nature" (unknown) and another one is "changes are from something more powerful than man!" (unknown)

What can we do to help our mother earth to be a better place to live? How do you enjoy her beauty and gifts that we have inherited around us? How can we show thanks to  God for the earth and the things she gives us?
