Japeth's Wife

We know that Japeth's wife was one of the occupants on the ark with Noah from the scripture. My thing was what can she teach me. So I looked her up on the internet.

We know from the scriptures she is the mother of the gentiles  and that Japeth's and her offspring are the European descendants. The thing I found on the internet is it is said that she told stories about the events and she is where a lot of the mythologies come from. A couple of years ago my son was reading one of the mythologies in English class. I looked at him and said this reminds me of the flood story of Noah just added information. 

So the one thing that is taught to me from her little bit of information of stories is the importance of writing our own personal history. Even when writing in a journal seems tedious our personal experience of living through an event and the way we felt about it is important. I know reading my grandparents stories i find interesting. It lets me get to know them on a different level. How they felt what they personally went through during life's experience. It also teaches me the faith and endurance they had to have. Personality wise I get to learn the things of their heart that is written in writing form. Being able to tell their side of the story. 

In journal writing you get to tell your side of the story the way you feel the event happened. A recording of your life history. By word of mouth the stories get turned around and can be changed. By writing it down its in your own words and leaves an account and testimony of who you truly are in side instead of being told by a different point of view. It can even end up being an encouraging word to those descendants later in the line of an issue that might be the same. We leave in our journals inspiration to those we love when they have a chance to read them. It doesn't matter how imperfect we felt at the time it's a way to preserve lessons to be learned.
