Abraham 1:11 Now, this priest had offered upon this altar three virgins at one time, who were the daughters of Onitah, one of the royal descent directly from the looks of Ham. These virgins were offered up because of their virtue; they would not bow down to worship God's of wood or of stone, therefore they were killed upon this altar, and it was done after the manner of the Egyptians.

How many of us in life are willing to stand as a witness to God no matter what? These women in Egypt were offered up as a sacrifice as the Egyptians believed. They were burned for their righteousness towards god. Unwilling to now down to worship God's that were idols. Being virgins and offered up because of the virtues they held dear to their hearts. They stood to stand and willing to sacrifice their own lives in God's name.
The lesson these women stand by to learn from is stand for truth and righteousness at all times. To be a witness always. How can we be a witness always? Though we were not among those who saw the resurrected and perfected body of the Redeemer, we can still stand as witnesses of Him today. He can always be the focus of our lives, no matter the time or place we find ourselves in. Each time we offer our hearts and hands to serve others; show gentleness, kindness, and respect to all; defend the truth; and share our testimonies of the gospel, we stand as true witnesses of Jesus Christ.(The Savior’s Final, Lonely Journey Chakell Wardleigh
Church Magazines) he reminds us that by our works of kindness we can be a witness to Christ's kindness and be an example of his work. 


what about our virtue? Add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,  1 peter 1:5. A lot of people think of virtue as just staying clean sexually. It's more than just that. When you look up virtue in the dictionary it means behavior showing high moral standards. How can we show our standards being high?  Peter said to add faith to our virtue along with knowledge how can we do that in our life? These three women taught that they knew God by their virtue in their living to the high standards that have been set up by god. They showed it that they were sacrificed and remembered for what they believed.  my thought could I stand up to that peer pressure to hold to my morals and stand as a witness at all times?
