The 5 Daughters of Ishmael Mourn
1 Nephi 16:35 And it came to pass that the daughters of Ishmael did mourn exceedingly, because of the loss of their father, and because of the afflictions in the wilderness.
The daughters of Ishmael mourn because they loss their father in the wilderness.Many of us have lost someone in our life a friend, a sibling, a parent, a grandparent or some sort of acquintance. The thing that our church teaches is that we have an opportunity to be together again in heaven. "God, in his infinite capacity, seals and heals individuals and families despite tragedy, loss, and hardship. We sometimes compare the feelings we experience in temples as having caught a glimpse of heaven." Elder Sale G. Remind ( talk April 2018 family history and temple work: Sealing and Healing) Many times those voices resonate from afar and so near in the loss of our loved ones. One of the things I have been learning is the whole purpose of the temple. One of the things that we can do is being families together that have passed on through temple work. Just to know that after we pass on we can have each other and with the work that can be done for our family member s we can began to feel some sort of closeness to them and even do some history on knowing what they did in their life becoming a someone who can help them move on and even still make a choice in the next life whether they want to except or reject.
The other thing that Ishmael's daughters mourned about was the trials they faced in the wilderness. Have you ever felt that you have gone through so much and unsure where to turn anymore. Wondering why God has let you go through the trials you face? Finding yourself praying so much just to get through the day and that along the way you could just find peace? Some people in life seem to deal with more than another. Each person get a to choose which way they want to get through it. Or even be able to help another get through a trial similar to something that you've gone through. Sometimes just getting through one thing after another we learn from it and learn what God wants us to learn to except other trials that we might face making us stronger because we have gone through them and are able to learn from them. What is one of the biggest triAl you have gone through that you have found God has helped you with and that you learned from?
