All the Women Traveling with Lehi

1 Nephi 17:1-2 And it came to pass that we did again take our journey in the wilderness; and we did travel nearly eastward from that time forth. And we did travel and wade through much affliction in the wilderness; and our women did bear children in the wilderness. And so great were the blessings of the lord upon us, that while we did live upon raw meat in the wilderness, our women did give plenty of suck for their children, and we're strong,yeah, even like into the men; and they began to bear their journeying without murmuring.
1 Nephi 17: 20 And thou art like into our father, led away by the foolish imaginations of his heart; yeah, he hath led us out of the land of Jerusalem,and we have wandered in the wilderness for these many years; and our women have toiled, being big with child; and they have borne children in the wilderness and suffered all things, save it were death; and it would have been better that they died before they came out of Jerusalem than to have suffered these afflictions.

From the time the Women left Jerusalem to travel with Lehi and obey God's will they suffered some sort of affliction. They dealt with fighting, loss of loved ones, they suffered all things except their own death. Hey they kept moving forward and kept holding on to Lehi's dream even if they thought it was foolish imaginations in the heart. They withstood the trials that came to them and worked through them.
These women were strong like the men in the group making me  think they helped do work alongside their husbands. but also strong in will and spirit. They were also nursing mothers who made sure their young were able to eat from  them. They learned that along their journeys not to murmur about their conditions. Which made me think did they go through one trial after another and build upon whatever happened making it easier to deal with what they were given? The other thought I had these women had each other to fall back on. Is it possible they that they let charity never fail with each other and more one another's burdens in their sisterhood?
These women in their trials made me think about the relied society organization. There is a declaration and it reads:
               The Relief Society Declaration

We are beloved spirit daughters of god, and our lives have meaning, purpose, and direction. As a worldwide sisterhood, we are united in our devotion to Jesus christ, our Savior and Exemplar. We are women of faith, virtue, and charity who:
Increase the testimonies of Jesus Christ through prayer and study.
Seek spiritual strength by following the prompting of the holy ghost.
Dedicate ourselves to strengthening marriages, families, and homes.
Find nobility in motherhood and joy in womanhood.
Delight in service and good works.
Stand for truth and righteousness.
Sustain the priesthood as the authority of God in earth.
Rejoice in the blessings of the temple, understand our divine destiny, and strive for exaltation.

 I think about these women traveling leaning on each other in a sisterhood that we might not understand some building on their testimony of Christ. All of them being noble in raising their children the best that they can and strengthening their marriages through their trials. Leaning on one  another in their own relief to their society.
  I look at the relied society pulling together when we all work together  helping one another in our unique opportunity of ministering one to another in a sisterhood. We can bring about relief in someone's day by maybe just helping out with the small things or big in another's life. We can learn about the nobility of our womanhood and even if a mother our motherhood or if not how we can touch another's life by the motherly instincts we each carry. We work hard in our own lives to strengthen our families, and our relationship even with our husbands our children our siblings our parents etc. Yet so we have the faith and understanding to also build on our testimony of the blessings that Christ has done for us in our life? We are daughters of our heavenly father born of born of worth. He loves us and has given us one another to help bring about his work through our unique abilities to carry out and help each other out through bearing one another's joys and burdens. We do have  meaning and purpose in our life. We share things more common than not and we can learn to love each other in a sisterhood unique through our ministering hof one another's needs. By helping ourself and others in building a testimony of christ.
 In 1Nephi 17:3  And this we see that the commandments of his must be fullfilled. And if be that the children of men keep the commandments of his he sign nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he commanded.
As this scripture states he helped provide a way to make it through. They made the ship they all got on and took provisions that they needed. We can learn that even though they had the problems in the wilderness they trusted a man who was listening to God to take them to a promises land. Even if they didn't believe and thought his ways were crazy they still followed. They traveled all to the promises land. They even planted a garden when they got there.they pitched their tents. They even got to see all sorts of animals that they seem in Jerusalem(beasts they seem in the forest) once they reached land. The things they seem were for their use that God told Israel it was okay to eat.Even if we don't believe but choose to have faith  there are still blessings that come. These women had each other and trusted one another through it all.
