Nephi's Sisters
2 Nephi 5:5-6 And it came to pass that the Lord did warn me that I, Nephi, should depart from them and flew into the wilderness, and all those who would go with me. Wherefore it came to pass that I, Nephi, did take my family, and also Zoram and his family, and Sam, my Elder brother and his family and Jacob, and Joseph my younger brethren, and also my sisters, and all those who would go with me. And all those who went with me believed in the warnings and the revelations of god, entrepreneur did hearken unto my words. And we did take our tents and whatsoever things were possible for us, and did journey in the wilderness for space of many days.
Even though Nephi's sisters are mentioned in such a small part. Nephi gives a glimpse of what they believed in because of all the people that followed him did so in faith. We can learn they were willing to leave behind their other family members. They believed in god and that God gave warnings to them. They believed that Nephi was a speaker of God's word and that he received revelation to their welfare. They were willing to hearken unto God's words. They were also willing to grab their tents and all the necessities that they could carry. Being willing to travel and pitching their tents as they went for a space of many days.
If a sibling came up to you and said it is time to leave we are in danger would you be willing to follow? Leaving everything behind to follow the warnings. It would take trusting that sibling or even person that asks you to leave knowing that you can trust them? It s the same thing we do with leaders of the church we trust in their guidance to lead us the right way. Pioneers needed to trust the prophet Brigham young in crossing the plains to bring them to the promises land and even the Israelites needed to trust Moses in taking them from egypt. When the time comes can you trust someone to lead you from danger? or would you stay in disbelief? So many times in our life we are being guided in ways that God wants us to hear. Yet we have a hard time believing it give up the fight and falter along the way. Yet if we listened to what is being told by people who have gone through the situation or even those who haven't and hear the words that God is teaching us. Pain wouldn't follow and we sometimes wouldn't question Food I do the right thing or why am I hurting so bad for the mistakes that I made? We each have a responsibility to ourself in the way we decide to listen. It is our choice and accountability that brings us to our decision on whether we would stay or whether we would go? God gave us the free agency to do what we feel best and yet he also have us the faith to trust those in leadership position to guide us in the right way with his word and not to take us astray.
In 2 Nephi 5:10 And we did observe to keep the statutes, and commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of moses. And verse 11 states " and the Lord was with us; and we did prosper exceedingly; for we did some seed, and we did reap again in abundance.

- For their faithfulness and willingness to follow God's word through Nephi they began to be blessed and they reaped again in abundance according to the Lord's word. God brought to them the things that would bless them in this life along with the next for being faithful in their belief to follow and trust in his servant. Which he has promised he will bring the things we need in our life the blessings of we follow and listen to our prophets heeding to the warnings of our latterday. We can learn to trust and get confirmation to the words that our said so we can as Nephi's sisters believe in the revelations that are being out don't of us today? and if there ever came a time that danger faced at your door and somebody said it's time to leave could you trust that they were looking g out for you best interest and others to follow?
