Jacob Takes His Wives and Leaves

After Jacob talks to his wives he steals away in the night with them leaving Laban's house. As the story goes on we also find out that Rachel steals her father's idols. And when her father comes and asks Jacob why he left with his daughters stealing them in the night he also asks about the Idols Rachel had stolen Jacob said who ever took the Idols will be cursed to die. Searching the tents Rachel hides the Idols in the camels packs and sits upon them. When asked she tells her father she couldn't move because the womanly was upon her. Jacob finds out and they bury the treasure in the wilderness. While traveling Rachel gives birth to Benjamin and does during childbirth.
What lessons can we learn here from the wives of Jacob? They were willing to leave their father's house and cleave to their husband. They show support to listen to the word of Jacob to leave back to the place he came from. They also learned to work together. There's a willingness of being able to stoke out alone without the support of their father but now turning in their marriage to rely solely on their husband. Which in marriage we can take an example from these women to do so. We choose who at spouse is and sometimes the meddling of other family members can become so hard that it makes a lesson wonder if they are in the right place. Until we put the needs of our spouse and children of the family we created. I know my oma(grandma) said even though they moved clear across the ocean to America that she wasn't sure her !marriage would be  survived if they would be stayed. Later my great-grandma was glad for the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren she gained and see the happiness in her son. They made the choice to do what was best for their family and brought across their young children and became citizens of the U.S.A when my mom was 6months old.
The other thing I find interesting in this part of the story is Rachel stole idols from her father. What is the reason behind her doing stealing? We can only assume maybe to have something to remember her father by? Or maybe it could be to have some sort of inheritance that she believes she was entitled to. What do you feel that it could be? Then when her father is searching the tents I find it even more interesting that she receives her father by sitting on the camel back and saying she is on her period. Which made me think how many times in life we try to hide our actions from another what we do or even god.  Who are we actually hurting if we are not hurting ourselves to blessing that could be ours by holding on to things that our irrelevant to our past and moving forward in faith. Jacob helping Rachel in the wilderness after her father leaves to bury the Idols in an example to me how Christ in our life wants us to make it back to our father in heaven so I'm his mission he helps through the atonement to bury and take away our sins. Helping us to !I've forward in our progression of learning in this life.
The sad thing which doesn't happen until after they meet Esau is Rachel bares another son Benjamin. She then does during childbirth fulfilling the curse as Jacob of whoever stole the Idols would die. The thought crossed my mind even though we may repent. Sometimes our guilt is so great  we take the pain to our death. We need to learn to even be forgiving to our own self for the things we carry that our savior has taken upon himself to help us move forward and enjoy the blessings that we have in our life.
The blessing and love from those around us. Through support through the trials we have come from the heart. They don't want us to carry out burdens to our grave instead they like to see us be happy and know you have been forgiven for wrong. Just like our savior wants  us to do from him.
