Sarah in Letting Hagar Go


Sarah being the matriarch of her family comes to the decision of having Hagar and Ishmael leave the family. After the feelings of Ishmael laughing at her. She asks Abraham to send them from the family. Even though Abraham was heartbroken he listened.
The story here teaches me us as women make decisions that we feel is best for our family. How many choices heartache and dev skins do we make in our everyday life? We make A lot of decisions what we feel is best for oirself, our children, our spouse, and what we feel can bring us all as a working family a team. The job is not easy on what choices we make. Each of us have different circumstances that the lord knows.
With Sarah in asking Hagar and Ishmael to leave i wonder how easy of a decision was it to her? Was she ever heartbroken because she would be been around and enjoyed the company of Ishmael and hagar. Was the mocking so great that she knew if they stayed it would be more detrimental to all involved? Or could the decision-making been different? Makes you wonder if she took her concerns to the lord in prayer and that is why he told Abraham that he should listen to his wife about the decision. How many times do we make a decision on our life that effect so many? Do we realize that the outcome can effect so many generations. Sarah's decisions for her family have always played a part in the things she decided on their lives. To me she teaches we must always do what is best for our family! Even though some of the choices at hard and heartbreaking.
