Sarah in Abimelech's Court


 We find Sarah and Abraham in a situation that they were in before. Telling Abimelech and his household they are brother and sister. This time she is older and thinking about it she mustve  aged well. We also find a repetitive behavior.
This time we see Sarah taken by Abimelech because he was interested in her. Especially since he was told that she was Abraham's sister. Then the lord comes to abimelech and tells him he will be destroyed because he wants to be with another man's wife. Again we see the lord intervening in Sarah's life to  save her from sin and another from sin. 
How many times in our life do we have an intervention by God because of the choices we make?  How many does it feel like we are repeating ourselves in the same action? What does God want us to learn from the repeativeness; or what lesson are we not learning from it? 
Here we see Sarah returned to abraham. This time we see Abraham praying for Abimelech and his household to be returned to the Lord's grace. Do you ever pray for another after wrong has been done? The Lord wants each of us to learn from each experience that we go through. Even if it seems that we are repeating a step in our life! Have you looked at a situation and said I feel like I've lived this before? Just sit there and think why do I keep ending up in this situation? God intervened when he wants our attention! He sees what we are going through and tries to help us make a better choice. But in return we can keep living through the same circumstance over and over again until we decide with our free agency to make the choice that we feel God would like us to do. We can learn and change the situation like Abraham and his wife Sarah did by coming clean and praying for another. We are each here to be a hand in helping one another make it back to our father in heaven. Through prayers for a stranger a friend or whoever it may be. God might put us in the same circumstance or even ourself by making the choice we do. But he is there to help intervene in our life to help us to come into him so we can learn to be more like him.
