Milcah Mother of Bethuel
Milcah
Milcah was married to Abraham's brother Nahor. Milcah was also a mom of eight children. One of the sons happened to be Betheuel who happened to be rebekahs dad. Having all the children she did reminds me of my self. I have nine children. The everyday challenges that she would have gone through to teach them.
My thoughts on Milcah is she would ' ve been a patient women. To be able to teach and be an example to each one of her and be able to bring them up to be productive human beings.

Milcah's name means queen which seems fitting as a matriarch in Israel's lineage. As a queen you would be one of counsel. Fitting for a mother of eight. The Lord asks us as mothers to guide and be a role model into them. In her teachings and the way that you can see rebekahs kindness she had to of laid a corner stone in her son's beliefs. How can raising our children have an affect on future generations? What is it that we would want our children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren to be able to tell about us? What legacy can we leave behind for them?
In raising many children (or just any child in the family) you always hope for the best but you want each child to feel your love. No matter if the words are spoken to them but also shown to them by being an example of what love is. Milcah would be an example to her children in raising them up to know God's love and her love and to raise them in an environment that what be suitable to feel that love. Her life definitely played an effect to be mentioned to be able to follow Israel's lineage. She would've been a valiant women able to keep God's commandments and remember him during her life to be able to pass that on down with her children. Generations had to be effected by her by the way she raised her children and then to be able to have her grand-daughter be chosen as one of the matriarch in israel.
Her story even though small teaches me that no matter how big or small our family situation is we have the importance of raising them up into the lord. To be productive members to society. It teaches that we have such an affect on the generation we bring up and past that by the example and teachings we give our children. That our love can be shown through each generation. That if ever mentioned about our legacy what would we want to be remembered by? God gives to his love through loving parents like Milcah did for her children.
