The Unnamed Little Servant Girl
Her story is found in 2Kings:1-15
Naw man a captain of the host of the King of Syria being a great man and honorable was given by the Lord deliverance of Syria. He was a mighty man of valour but he was also a leper. The Syrians had gone out by companies and brought back by companies slaves. One of them that was brought back became captive out of the land was a Little Servant girl who waited on Naaman's wife. She understood what was going on and suggested to his wife that her husband seek out the prophet Elisha who God her Lord was with in Samaria. And that he could help heal her husband of the leprosy. The wife and all the others that were with her went about telling Naaman and the king. Which started a chain reaction to a man deciding if he should follow a prophets word turning away and then testifying that God of Israel is the only true god.
This little servant girl served her mistress daily. Do you think she felt that they would listen to her word and start a chain reaction? One soul can serve so many in the faith that she portrayed in the courage she gave in letting her mistress know if healing power. She was taught before she became captive of the greatness and miracles that the prophet or even a priesthood holder can do in healing. I'm her baring her own testimony of knowing that this man would be able to heal Batman of his leprosy. She gave witness to the power that seeking after a righteous man can serve purpose in healing ones soul. She exemplified the honesty and integrity that Batman sought the king out to get his permission to seek out a man of god that the little maid talked about. How many of us seek out someone of priesthood holding in helping us heal our hearts through getting a priesthood blessing? To help us heal or even hear God's words through our heart from one that can administer in helping this kind of healing? This little maid was taught that God could heal through one of authority in her life. She believed it enough that she was willing to share what one man could do for another. That eventually brought one to know we need to act on our own faith and trust in god that we can heal. That it's not a big ahhh your instantly healed. It's a working matter that when we truly believe that God's works can bring about miracles that we never would imagine. Her compassion led to the courage of letting a family know giving forgiveness to those that brought her captive. And her faith spoke volumes in which she believed in the healing power of one that hold the priesthood can do when we put our work of faith into the action. She was divinely appointed and she did not underestimate the ordinary circumstances to speak volume to not keep believing and sharing her faith of god. She forged toward and played a role in touching many lives through one seemlsly action to bring about another's knowledge of god. Her being captive brought her into a house of someone whose heart was willing to be open to a possibility of new life. God has a plan and she shared in her time of captivity and still found a way to share and touch others life in her captivity. She might have been scared to come forward but she understood and knew God will enough that she knew he could use her purpose in pain to bring along the cleanliness to a new soul in finding him. We all are of one blood that we bring service to others no matter our circumstances that we can be a light even in our darkest moments and bring more of God's light into others. We might feel insignificant in our roles we play in life but that small insignificant act might bring other souls in a chain reaction by finding the courage to speak. We can all serve one another through being an influence into many through one simple deed. The thing I can learn from this servant girl is that to trust in him no matter what my circumstances may be. That the most difficult situation that we feel is impossible can be made possible by being a beacon of light to others in sharing our belief. That through God miracles can happen by small insignificant as we feel bearing of our testimony and sharing those beliefs with another to help them seek God out in their own healing starting a chain reaction in many because of our actions. Causing others to seek him out as will. God uses us where we are to touch another's life no matter how insignificant we feel and as long as we stay know who we truly are in him.
