The Adultress woman

Cast the First Stone
John 8:1-11

The story of the actress woman begins with the Pharisees taking a woman to Jesus and telling home she was adulterers and caught right in the act. They reminded Jesus that in the law of  Moses that when someone caught in adultery they faced the consequence of being stoned. They even asked him what he says about the whole entire situation. Trying to tempt him or as our terms today pick a fight or bully him into doing what shouldn't be done on a sunday. As thou the Pharisees were trying to get him to throw the first punch to accuse Christ of wrong doing. Here we see him just ignore and turn the other cheek and continue to write in the sand. As they continued asking him what they should do he stopped writing in the sand looked at her accusers and said unto them "he who is without son among you cast the first stone at her." And then he went again writing in the ground. The those that heard it left one by one. When they all left Jesus lifted his head saw the woman only and asked her " where are your accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? "

 She the replied, " no man,lord. " 

and Jesus said unto her , " neither do I condemn thee: go and son no more. "

How many of us in life feel like we are condemning another or always being condemned for our past actions? It's not just past actions that we feel we are getting condemned for its the feelings of not being able to fit in to a certain group or class or being inadequate in our life that we feel that people are casting stone after stone at us. Doo we tarry down pathways that are unseen unforeseen them we get to another point that we feel that those around us again are casting stones? Is there a way to come out of it and be saved from casting those stones at others or even feeling we can get away from the stones cast at us? 

This woman seems to be picked out and  the pharisees  have known about her past to be able to grab her out of a crowd of people in particular. Why was this women chosen out of all the people? Why wasn't the man brought in as will with her if she was caught in the act?  This first part of the story we see how the chief priests, and Pharisees are willing to set this women of adultery in front of others as a public humiliation of the wrong she had done. We see how they tempt Christ to put in front of him challenge in trying to bully him into doing what the mosaic law went against on a sunday. Instead Christ wrote in the sand and ignored but still he listened. There concern wasn't that woman sinned it was more to entrap the savior. Otherwise they would have brought the man that sinned right along with her. Because with the mosaic law it is the man and woman stoned together when caught in the act. Taking upon them two witnesses to condemn someone.  Jesus response to the whole act was turn the other cheek don't now down to the fight.  Even him writhing in the sand holds significant value.Because to do anything on Sunday was impermissible to the law. Showing that Jesus knew the law mentally, orally and even knows the scriptures.  As Christians as a friend a neighbor or just an associate passing by we make judgement on so many different characteristics that a person might show. Even by the group of friends someone might choose  to hang around. How can we reach out to others without casting a stone in them? I'm what ways can we minister to those around us to be more like the savior?
The savior them turns to the Pharisees and says thee with out sin cast the first stone.  Relieving him from a charge to instigate any more harm into this woman. Causing those around to reflect on their own sins. With everyone walking away from the situation one by one. After everyone has left he asks her where her accusers have gone and her response they have all left. He the n tells her he doesn't condemn. He gained control of the situation and the case to stone the woman was dropped explaining to her to go and sin no more. With each person disappearing the letter to the law is then upheld because no witnesses are then found. With Jesus choosing not to condemn the woman showing us the mercy of God's love he shows each one of us.
Each one of us cause some sort of sin or have been acted upon by someone else choosing things that affect our lives. Here we have a woman standing still to the power of those willing to testify against her until they were given that chance to reflect on their own sins. Many today carry on that same attitude today. Who is that woman? Can she be reflected in us today? I believe she can be a reflection of ourself were we accuse another casting stones at those we feel deserve the act of  being more hurt more heartache than what they all ready feel. Have you ever wondered what a person all alone that aims might go through in the middle of the night how lonely how many times that might cry out to god to left them up to carry o n.In their daily life. Even though they might not be ready to completely turn to him. And go about with their daily life and son no more. Going through the process of repentance after baptism have you ever noticed someone that might be doing what they need to do to repent the discipline to follow the saviors rules to go about and bring their souls back? Doo you ever think the encouragement that they might need to go about to lift them up or the feelings that they have to make it back through his mercy?  Even the word and thoughts to be uplifted never stands in the way of getting to know our Lord through his mercy and grace he provides. We can learn from our sins  to work harder not to do it again and feel the way we do when we sin. It definitely is easier not to sin and go through the pain of admitting and saying I'm sorry Lord for putting you through but I am grateful that you have given me the atonement to help me along my way giving me a path to come to terms with what I need to do to make it back to you. With that being said. It is easier to sin than to have never sinned at all. But the learning we can gain should also bring us back to knowing the mercy that the Lord has and t hat he advocates for us daily to bring us all back hom e to god and he loves us deeply to take all of what we do among him that is why he bleed in the garden that is why he hung on the cross that is why he advocates for us to find peace in our life and advocates on our behalf with God to help us return back home one day for eternity.
