Mary Hears the word

Knowing God's Word

Like 8:19-21 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. And it was told him by certain which said, they mother and they brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. And he answered and said unto them, my mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God , and do it.  

Just is talking to the people and giving them parables one happened to be in the sower and the interpretation of  the parable. When his mother and brothers come seeking for him. After describing to the people of how seeds are planted and were they grow it can gain root of be strangled or can hear the master and grow with it. He is told she is waiting to see him and he puts her and his brothers as an example of a person that heard God's word and does it. This part of Mary's story hit me strong. One of the reasons it hit me strong is her son saw how she lives and heard God's word. She not only exercised the faith but she put God's word into actions. 

I think how many times are we like the shower we get caught up in the world we hear God's word but do we put the action behind it? We can either be strangled driven back into a corner. Mary along with Christ's brother knew had a testimony and acted upon it. She taught in her family the significance of being able to deliver God's word. I'm how many ways do we look at literature that takes us a ways from it or our actions don t show what we are trully feeling inside. Can we be a candle lit on a hill or do we hide it under a bushell? Have you ever thought of we brought our full potential of the light of christ what impact we might have on those whose life we may touch? 

So many times are some of us scared to admit we are Christians we believe in Christ and we are scared not to be part of the in crowd who has to be like the people down the street. We hide that light we strangle ourself in sharing experiences that might help another up. It might even help build up there testimony. Even with ministering to one another as a simple i can pick that up I see your arms are full. Maybe offer to go and buy a lunch for people who can't take a break at work because schedule are so packed. It's the simple things that show Christ like love that we can grow our own testimonies on as will as reach out and build another person testimony. It's that little flicker of light that we put into the vessel that we learn and act as a disciple of christ that build the light. To get know God's word to act as Jesus would do if he was there in front of that person. Can you imagine if we were all willing to give just a little bit of ourself in knowing God and acting on his behalf to show love to others. What an impact an influence we can give. We can make our candles burn brighter. If any thing look at Mary's example she shared her son with the world she knew God and she acted upon what she knew. How can we do the same thing share ourselves with our family and others that we can show God's word and teach others through our action so our candle burn bright instead of being under a nutshell hidden from others to see?
