Sariah Leaving and Receiving an Inheritance

Sariah and her husband must be had a great inheritance in Jerusalem. She makes the comment to Lehi that they left their inheritance behind when talking about her boys when she became frustrated about Lehi sending them off. Makes me wonder what might have been growing through her mind? What type of life they actually possessed in the land? What strength she must of had to leave it all behind and follow into the wilderness with her children. To follow a visionary man her own husband that he was really do the Lord's will. Then to have faith to trust God that this was the right thing to do.
The past couple of days I have been thinking on Sariah leaving her inheritance that she had in Jerusalem behind. Then I started thinking of the trials she would be gone through the wilderness. Then the last thing I thought about is getting to the new world hitting land finally and receiving the new inheritance. So I started to ponder on the lessons that she could teach me. When the thought crossed my mind " Christ asks us to come follow him. "  Like Sariah her husband listening to the Lord's call to leave or be destroyed she was asked to follow Christ. Through the teachings that she had been taught. Leaving behind an old life where son was at. Like many of us in our life we get asked to leave thing behind to make things in our life better. The things thAt can test is down. Or take us down the path that would be wrong for us to go through. Instead of holding on to the iron rod to gain God's inheritance we faulter. Seek the things of the owls instead of the things that God can give. The trials along the way as Sariah faced in the wilderness can represent the dryness of why we left it behind. We struggle to do God's will and try to keep pushing forward in our change for our livea. We know that there is more out there. We know God offers more than we actually see in front of us. Testing is on a daily basis of our will to follow him. We still have desires to turn back resin or whatever addiction we might have  had that we desire. Hey we keep pushing forward to do our best to really on his word or to return to him. The crossing of the sea to the new found land reminds me of how it gets so hard to go through our trials. We even start to loose our way because of how hard it feels like The waves of life are hitting our very aouls. We have other a to help remind us of the very things that God has promised us. And when the waves calm we even find our way back to doing his will again. We listen to his word and strive to do what's right. Like her family had the liahona on the ship and through the wilderness to help guide them. When we turn to him like the liahona worked for her family the guidance seems to get us to the place we need to be. Many times we forget the path we are needed to take and cause a confusion we don't understand. When we look for his guidAnce we can find out way sometimes in a way we don't even question God's will for us. I'm the end Sariah got to the promises land. Which them this reminds me of the way we finally after all our struggle reaching to do God's will we find joy and receive the blessing of God inheritance in our life. The thing we struggle for to become like our father in heaven. She teaches the promises land with her family and it was the thing God promises them a new inheritance. His blessings upon her family that they would be saved and here they became part of his promise to make it across. Then the choice again became latter with her son's which way do we follow.
