We learn as her story goes along that she loved Jacob more and Isaac loved esau more. Each parent giving the child they loved most their absolute attention. How would that be to know that you were the favorite of one parent?How would it also be to know one child would be blessed over the other and as a parent you help along the blessings for the one you favor? We also learn that the twins take different paths in their life. Easy being a cunning hunter and a man of the field and Jacob was a plain mg who dwelt in tents.
What was rebekahs revelation about the twins? We learn in he said 25:23 and the lord said into her, Two nations are in your womb, and two manner of people shall be segregated from the bowels: and the one people shall be stronger than the other people: and the elder shall serve the younger. Would this have an effect on your raising of your twins if you were in her position? If you ever been a mom of twins or have siblings that are twins or even friends that might be twins you might notice similarities but differences iin them. Can you see how one wants one way and the other a n opposite of the other twin taking different paths. Which we all do in our life. We take the path we feel is best for us. She knew the paths that the twins were taking and she also sought out to be a protector of the covenant and priesthood. her knowledge became a defender and guardian to uphold and teach her son the worthiness of god. To seek the spiritual gifts that was his (or in our lives ours) to obtain. To seek out the lord and show her son the way to guard and fulfill the blessings God has set out for him. She sought the blessings out for Jacob even though she had an older twin that should receive those blessings accordingly to tradition. She had the knowledge to know what would happen to each twin from the ti!e they were born and before hand when they were in the womb.

We also learn that when we trust in the Lord we can get through child reading no matter the paths our children make in their life. If we fell like we have failed and let the wolves move in and quit fighting for our children we feel the covenant has been lost. But when we began to realize the change we can bring on with in our child and the thought process of knowing God can work miracles in that child. The trust in the Lord even if ti me seems to be forever can help in the thought process of wanting eternal blessings. That an eternal marriage also brings a link that cM unite generations forever. It just takes mothers to love and even teach that child that might feel difficult and to guide even as an adult child to never loose faith in them to love them for who they are. Eternity is a blessing and eternal blessings are for all to gain through th e spirit that God gives each one of us. We learn in our lives how to minister to our children from the time they are born to the time the y even become adults because we as mothers are defenders of the faith and covenants that God can give toto our family.
