Zipporah and Her 6 Sisters

In Exodus 2:15-22  we find Moses fleeing from Egypt to the desert running into Zipporah and her six sisters trying to  water  their sheep with other carriers chasing them away. Moses helps defend the sisters so they might water the sheep making their work easier and able to accomplish the daily task at hand. When they return home their father was surprised they were done early and all 7 of his daughters explain what Moses did for them. With their father asking why they left the man at the well?

These seven sisters had the help of one man to help carry on there daily task of feeding the sheep. When we think of the savior and him asking us to feed his sheep. How can one person help us along to carry out doing that exact task when all around us seem so hard to go about? When the world seems so out to get us? Many times it takes one person to say listen to the message that is at hand and defend what we have to say on Christ's behalf. The sisters were able to water their sheep that thirst that day. This atm reminds me of when Christ is talking to his disciples asking them to feed his sheep. Which even makes me think how we can use daily hospitality in our life to bring about helping out another the way Christ would. Just the little things that we do on a daily basis within our family and a complete stranger or even a friend to someone we just associate with we can touch another's person's life by making it a little bit lighter by being an example of christ. How can you do this for people you come in contact with in your life? How does it help in feeding the sheep that Christ talks about in the scriptures? With each act we perform we do the Lord's work for him. I'm by doing so we also never know whose day we have brighten by our hospitality in ministering to another's needs. Sometimes those needs can be just a simple hug of seeing them and being there in their time of need. We can invite another in and give them a place of feeling safe like Jethro asked his daughters were the man was that helped them out? The simple act of showing love and bringing them into our circle of friends through our love can be such a ministering tool. When we show any act of kindness through the love that the savior has shown us we can minister to another's need to bring unity to all our aouls. God is at work through us to bring about his work. One step that might seem insignificant can be very significant and life impacting to another.

When you think of hospitality what does that look like to you? How do you think that bringing Moses into the high priest home of median had an impact on the sisters as will as moses? Many times I think of how much of an impact do I really have on another? We talk of planting seeds we talk of many different things that we can minister to another soul. Do we really consider the impact we might have on another person's life that can take the gospel to all the nation's of the world the ends of the earth, because of our hospitality that the savior teaches us to do? We might not even realize how people we come across might have been brought into our life to teach us as will as them the saviors infallible love. So by the way we treat others might be the biggest impact to bring them to know the Lord or even turn them away more from him. Christ draws near those who have feelings of being outcasts from those around them to help us being others to rejoice with us the things that we feel are not worthy in ourself to know we are God's children.
