Multiply and Replenish(Eve)

So today as i was reading the creation once again my thoughts came the words Adam and Eve were commanded on Multiply and replenish the Earth. I know God also said not to take of the fruit of the tree of knowledge because they would handsome like the like the gods. Then i started to think how even Noah and his wife and the rest of his family were also commanded to multiply and replenish the earth. I had my moment when i realized it has another meaning. We read many times in scripture we are the vine of his fruit he prunes us. We are can put on the fruits of the spirit. God planted in the east corner of eden a garden for adam and eve. They were told to take care of the garden and to care for the animals. As I was reading the thought crossed my mind from the typical meaning we always put on multiply and replenish. My thoughts were actually that of Learning. So I always find it interesting information that God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply always came across as offapring. ...

Mom of boys!!!!

But this I know: each of  you, equally yoked with the sons of god, will be a major part of a miracle of gospel learning and living that will hasten the gathering of Israel and will prepare God's family for the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ."  --Henry B. Erying I watch as the world around us condone men. I really think of the feminism stance as one of tearing our men down. When we as mothers are the ones raising these men. The toughness that is given that men will be men and boys will be boys as a mother of six boys and three daughters haunts me. To have my boys go out to a world that condones them. God gave me my son's to raise and to be taught by me. It all behind in the home of we are having issues with the way men act maybe we should teach our boys the respect that is as women deserve. I know oldest looked at me one day and said "mom these feminist our tearing down everything want what we have and men like you have taught me if they want...

Herodias

Her story is found in Mathew 14:1-11, Mark 6:17-28, Like 3:19-20 Herodias happened to be the wife of Herod. Her story is the story of a woman that didn't like what a prophet said and literally wanted his head on a platter. John told Herod his wife was the wife of us brother. Which infuriated Herod and Herodias that they locked John the Baptist up. Herod was growing fond of John from his words. His wife in the other hand had plans to have him out to death. Enlisting her daughter from her other marriage to go in and dance for him. When her husband made an oath that his daughter could have anything she wanted, asking her mom what she should ask for she told her she wanted to have John's head on a platter. Herodias we learn from scripture was a vile and vicious woman. By the Jewish law it was unclean to take the wife of the brother and it is said to uncover the nakedness of his brother. Found in Leviticus 20:21. No wonder why Herodias started to get upset and became afraid of wh...

Spiritual Motherhood

Mathew 12:46-50, Mark 3:31-35: Background of verses: As Jesus was talking to the people his Mother and brethren steps about desiring to talk to him. Someone said to him Thu Mother and brethren wish to speak to you. He then answered and said unto the crowd " who is my mother? And who is my brethren? " Stretching his arms out towards his disciples and saying, " behold my mother and brethren! Good whosoever do the will of my father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, sister, and mother. " How do Jesus words teach us of spiritual motherhood? So many times we forget that we are all related from Adam and Eve as our common ancestor. That to think how much our immediate family blood to that of our neighbor and a stranger can be so significant in the way we should share kindness. A lot of time we here that a person is family blood related or not blood related. In spiritual motherhood how can we wrap around those that need comfort? We don't have to be a mother a...

Peter's Mother In-law

Found in mathew 8:14-15, Mark 5:22-24, and Luke 8:41,49-56 In the story of Peter's mother in-law Christ walks into Peter's house. Seeing Peter's wife's mother laying there sick in bed due to a fever. Jesus touches her hand and the fever left her. She then arose and ministers to them.(paraphrased) It amazes me the faith she had to of had from being sick to getting up and persuming her household duties. How many of us after having a fever even want to get up and clean house? I know i would rather take the extra time and feel better. When we look at how much strength returned to her and how she was renewed in health we can see how christ can work in us when we feel sick or troubled. When we least expect that renewal to come in our life we feel as though we can do anything. That energy that seems to bring renewal in belief in christ.  Have you ever gone through a period od time that you found that restoration of strength even if it is to carry on in your day through pra...

Mary Returning From Egypt

Mathew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child' s life and he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. The story of Joseph and Mary and the child comes back to reurning to Israel. Even in more verses where Joseph heard that herods son ruled in his stead that he was warned to go into Galilee. Where the next prophecy would be fulfilled that he should be called a Nazarene. I started wondering how Mary's story of returning to egypt from disaster comes to light in my life. As i pondered upon it the thought crossed my mind. She had full faith in god to believe that an angel talked to her husband and return. That god would make a way even in the turbulance of their families life that they would be safe as they returned back to where he wants them to be ...

Prophecy Fulfilled Rachel Weeping

Mathew 2:18 In Ramah was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they were not. Prophecy: Jeremiah 31:15 Thus saith the Lord: A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rahal weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. I had to do my research on this passage of why it was important an how it could reflect in my life. Ramah was the area the tribe of Benjamin was given. Being the son of Rachel who wanted children so bad to the point she even told Jacob give me children otherwise I die. Even dying sometime after giving birth to Benjamin. So when Herod made the decree to have the infant children under two killed it was coming around the area of Ramah. Wanting the offspring so bad from Jacob I can see the significance of this as later generations are born. Have you ever wondered how someone who has passed on would act if they see...
