Mary Returning From Egypt
Mathew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child' s life and he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
The story of Joseph and Mary and the child comes back to reurning to Israel. Even in more verses where Joseph heard that herods son ruled in his stead that he was warned to go into Galilee. Where the next prophecy would be fulfilled that he should be called a Nazarene. I started wondering how Mary's story of returning to egypt from disaster comes to light in my life. As i pondered upon it the thought crossed my mind. She had full faith in god to believe that an angel talked to her husband and return. That god would make a way even in the turbulance of their families life that they would be safe as they returned back to where he wants them to be in his plan. That even as we do what the lord asks we still get cold feet and are led by him to go in the direction that calms our souls. Making those points as we look at the way that Mary agrees to go back to the land where her son was sought to be killed could be an overwhelming feeling. Deep down i know if my husband said its okay to return i would be asking are you sure? It would have to take a great deal of faith to follow gods word in returning. Even when we fall away feom Gods words we can find ourself like Mary asking what am i doing? Even question if returning is exactly what we should do? I have found myself always believing that god was there but hard to return and do what i needed to do until recently. Mary stepped in had to of packed there stuff and said okay lets go full out with out question of qhat was needed from god in returning back to Israel. Just like us when it comes to following Gods plan and word we just need to pack our garbage let go and move forward and follows what god wants us to do. He will help make away to get over those fears or turbulance of pains we have felt leading us in a new direction. Just like her husband was guidwd to go to Galilee. A way was provided and they fullfilled thw prophwcy by raising there son in Nazareth. We find as we go along our own path and read and follow gods word we find that their are many obstacles that can get in our way. We can then have a failure to believe that god has our best interest at heart or we can trust that he has a loving hand that at this moment in our life happiness or grief god has a way to bridge away to finding him in our hearts to get through or find that joy we are facing. Our turbulance to the pain we find can become a bridge to miracles that we might face and a guiding hand from god to help ua get through those doubts we face. God build ways that we can count on him. Just look at what Mary and Joseph went through wven returning back to the land of Israel in full filling his promises for our good and his.
