Prophecy Fulfilled Rachel Weeping
Mathew 2:18 In Ramah was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they were not.
Prophecy: Jeremiah 31:15 Thus saith the Lord: A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rahal weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
I had to do my research on this passage of why it was important an how it could reflect in my life. Ramah was the area the tribe of Benjamin was given. Being the son of Rachel who wanted children so bad to the point she even told Jacob give me children otherwise I die. Even dying sometime after giving birth to Benjamin. So when Herod made the decree to have the infant children under two killed it was coming around the area of Ramah. Wanting the offspring so bad from Jacob I can see the significance of this as later generations are born. Have you ever wondered how someone who has passed on would act if they seen your behavior today? Many times we never think how the actions can effect generations to come. Knowing how bad Rachel wanted to have children and then to have her offspring slaughtered would cause many from her to cry out in a loud voice with bitter weeping of "why god did you let this happen." How can we meet these bitter moments in our life with an openness to God's goodness and all that he offers us. As i have been reading scripture this year and following the come follow me for the New Testament my greatest thing hearing is from the Apostle Paul. he talks about going through suffering and running a muck on people and how he was called to repentace from Christ who found him. Many of Pauls lessons taught are to me that the pepople of Ramah would learn and also ourself in learning We suffer hard times that causes us to fall down to our knees or even say a prayer out to God because we want our pain to be heard. we want our pain to be heard from whoever hears us. We cry loud we cry soft, we let our heart out for the things we have no knowledge of being able to handle it our self. We might even go through a time period of lamentation where we suffer and our spirits try to help us remember him, even going through a time of bitter weeping. We might even go through that time were we just dont want to be comforted. especially when all is taken away from us. We need to discover exactly what God has a will for our lives and be willing to go back out. the mothers of Rama couldn't be consoled neither could Rachel's heart when she can have children and in the end her her seed was even taken Rachel probably was sweeping along those mother's trying to consult them just like we all do in life trying to help others out we can learn a lot on how the process of God seems to work circles into our life.
