The eternal blueprint to the plan of salvation is the concept of Family. Why are families so important to that plan? No matter where we come from what type of family we have, we still are part of an eternal family that started in a premortal life. The concept of family is the very center of God's work. We even have people in our life that we have chose to that we call family. Question: Do you believe your family is a temporary assignment or an eternal project? In President Oaks talk from conference we are reminded that the gospel is not about individuals but about families for eternity. Which brings in the concept of temples and the work we perform to bring the family together into covenant on both sides of the veil.

As with the hustle of life makes the gospel is like an individual checklist: study, pray, attend church. but a very important part of that gospel as Oaks taught is "the family-centered gospel of Jesus Christ," is an eternal perspective shift to remember that we we as a family are struggling and learning to live by the principles taught to the plan of salvation. it just isn't for one individual person but that of an eternal family designs to bring us all together .

President Oak's clarified a simple and profound truth: The eternal destiny of God's children hinges on the family. it is the core unit which the entire plan operates.

1. The Eternal Arc of the Family

"We can truly say the gospel plan was first taught to us in the council of an eternal family., it is implemented through our mortal families, and its intended destiny is to exalt the children of God in eternal families."

As you study through President's oaks talk we can see that he gave to us the ultimate summary of the Plan of Salvation, framed entirely in terms of family. he taught that the gospel journey has three phase, and the family is central to all of them:

• It began as an eternal family: plan was taught to us in the pre-existence in the grand Council of an Eternal Family(our Heavenly Parents and us).
• It is implemented in our Mortal Families: We work out our salvation daily within our mortal families. Being able to experience many place of learning. As a family unit no matter which way it is Families learn to struggle together in pursuit of a common goal that brings on a great influence of unification within the family. As we develop in our families we ca learn essential lessons of life that bring us into kindness, forgiveness, self-control, value to education and doing house work together.
• It culminates in Eternal Families: The intended destiny is to exalt the children of God in eternal families. An important understanding of why the ordinances are so important with in the temple. That the work that is performed inside those sacred walls helps to connect each of us back to him. Giving us an extra layer of protection that has an eternal pathway that helps us to understand the Plan of Salvation and the importance of the atonement in our life as we serve to connect the family together through genealogy work.

This is why the sealing power in the temple becomes vital- it is the priesthood authority that helps move us forward to the ultimate destination possible It also helps us to understand that God's plan is there to help us understand that both the family and priesthood are necessary components to bring all god has to offer to each of us along the pathway to his plan of happiness.

2. Christ's Example: The cure for Selfishness

IN a world that is increasingly growing and being driven by "individualism" and a "me-first" mentality. President Oaks prescribed the perfect remedy: the example of Jesus Christ.

He reminds us that we all have a choice to make: will we follow that of the world, or will we follow Christ? We all make mistakes in our life but through Christ we can make a decision that carries us to a life that becomes more in alignment to happiness even on days that struggle sets in. As we focus on the Savior's teachings and self-sacrifice, we can find the best attitude to individualism seems to change from trying to destroy the home.

The call is clear: We can become a role model of service in our home that brings the love of Christ and is welcoming to all that comes into our homes. core discipleship in our marriages, parenting and children is giving ourselves to service to one another. This is how we prove our faith and ensure the family is centered on Christ, not on the wants of one single person. i do believe though God does want us to be well ourselves to make sure we can be energized and not running our own batteries so low that we can not serve.

3.The Power of the Covenant

Linking the power of temple covenants brings in an extra layer of protection within our homes. President Oaks emphasizes that the temple sealings "bring families together for eternity." This is the real-life objective of all our home-centered efforts. As a family that learns to kneel together families can see great blessing come into their lives. The blessings that are promised within the walls of the temple brings the promises of the eternal family connection possible through which the covenants of the gospel are given. President Oaks emphasized that our good works- those that qualify us for a pleasing judgement- are characterized by these actions:

1. Faith in Jesus Christ
2. Making and keeping covenants with God.
3. Repentance of our sins

These actins are the spiritual scaffolding that supports the eternal family structure. The covenants we make in the temple are what tie the family unit together and connect us directly to the power of the savior to keep us intact forever.

Ask your self: Is my daily life reflecting the ultimate purpose of the gospel? if we focus on Christ, the blueprint for our eternal family reunion will help us understand and become clear in our life.

As I struggled with things in my own life to the temple a few years ago i seen the importance of it and a little voice whispered to me that as i prepared for the temple and hold to my covenants within that I take out it will bring in an added protection for my family and will bring them eventually there. my example will be that which they will know the importance of the family and why so much is placed in front of us. 

As I conclude I want to bare my testimony of the importance of families. I have made mistakes in my own life. I loved the support of my parents and siblings in raising my children but also the ward I grew up in. the words still set in that brings all of us into the family of God that a friend stated to me: "Heaven wouldn't be the same without you there!"  I believe that all stands true to all of us . someone in our life has touched us so much that even when they fall the family ahs broken and we see that heaven wouldn't be the dame without that individual in it. we would fight tooth and nail to  have them be in the celestial kingdom with us. Just like the savior came for each one of us. He gave is life and was resurrected to keep the faily of god together. As I listened to Presidents Oaks talk on the faily from the October 2025 conference. I knew i wanted to study the talks to the way we can build our families together no matter if we are single, a single parent, or whatever the way the faily is developed god gave us that family to experience and grow. I believe that Heaven would not be the same without all we come in contact with. Amen.
