Joseph, Mary, and Jesus Leave to Egypt
Mathew 2:13-14 The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, arise, and take the young child and his mother and flew to Egypt, and be thou there until I bring the word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt.
how much trust Mary had to put into Joseph that he received personal revelation on behalf of the family. To get up leave there home that they have been making for them self to raise Jesus in to tech and to grow even more together. To have all out faith that the messenger that was sent for heir safety in the need to go and take courage to leave. How often do we listen in our lives on the behalf of another for our safety? The same goes with that burdening feeling that the holy ghost gives us of danger do we listen or do we stay knowing the outcome can be worse than what we are faced with? God has given us a companion of the holy ghost for this life to help guide us and be a testimony of the truthfulness of his gospel. If you had the feeling to rise up and take your family and flee would you listen?could you go about and do god's will that he has at heart our best interest in mind? The holy ghost or holy spirit is talked about int he scriptures as one to help guide us , bare testimony of god, and to help us know the dangers that lurk around us. It is through the holy spirit that we get a witness into god's word and how important it is to live his commandments. That holy spirit can be our constant companion. have you ever felt that at times when your speaking that words come out of your mouth and wonder why. then think about the words and wonder if it could be some sort of warning from god or a pick me up of inspiration that is needed in your life at that moment. I know in my life i have experienced many different types of thoughts and have questioned the thought that crossed my mind. then there have been many times i have said something that i know is a warning and that is god is watchful of what is about to happen in my life in the next few little moments. In a priesthood blessing i received years ago i was instructed to quit questioning everything and that the first thought that crossed my mind is what god wanted me and if i was seeking for an answer i have received it many different times and different ways. I was just unwilling to listen to what was being said and always went along my own ways. in due time there i have recognized what has been given later down the road when i have sought for the same question in handling situations such as even forgiveness that i can be comforted and even knowing my willingness to listen plays a part into all that i have been given into utilizing the gifts that god gives each one of us and coming into concepts and realizing how much i rely on prayer to be comforted. In a dreary time Joseph and Mary needed to rely on that same spirit of a heavenly being giving Joseph a message to leave after the wise men left to gather their family and flee. For the safety of the child and for the safety of the family the fled. without question of what might be the next steps into the horrific killings of innocent children by Herod to find the one king born to save us all for our salvation from this world and all it has to offer in the ways we crave after, and turn to god who saves us all. I know i Still question things that come to mind that i know god is letting me know, but i also know the more i get to know god i am realizing that he is truly letting me know the truth of all that he wants me to know especially that which i seek after to know. That a lot of time that my first impression is exactly the answer i have been seeking after and to trust that he gives me answers that i might always feel best suit my life turn out to be a better fit into my life than i realize. it's that overpowering feeling that we receive that we know god is watching over us and does have our best interest at heart.He has truly given us a powerful tool in the gift of the holy ghost we just need to learn to utilize it for the good that it is intended for in our life. The more we learn to recognize that gift of the holy spirit the more we can utilize it in our life. we can learn to protect our self even from the dark forces that want to bring us down to our own destruction to that which is better and more fulfilling in Christ. I greatly appreciate the companionship that god has given me. And like Mary we can learn to trust and gin insight from others and our self in protection in knowing where we should roam in bearing our testimonies in all that god and his son has done for us in our life. we can be protectors as Joseph was for his family in knowing which way we should be guided in helping out family members escape destruction. we just need to be willing to listen and give them the space they need to grow in Christ as will. We as women are naturally protectors of the family and we stand at will to protect all that is good within it. We just need to be willing to listen and be guided in all that god has willed out to us.
