Elizabeth's Words To Mary
Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
I was reading the story of Mary going to her cousin Elizabeth after the angel appeared to her. When Elizabeth saw Mary the baby kept but the words in Luke made me really think. She tells Mary blessed is she that believed.This made me think how can God utilize me if I believe in his words that scriptures speak to me. We believe in the church that we can receive personal revelation so the next words spoken spoke to me how our performance in the Lord's work can be done through us which we feel the Lord has spoken to us, the words of the prophet that we hear speaks to us. How can believing in these words can God work through us for others? How can going about performing the work that he has spoken through us in ministering to others be a blessing? The more I read the scriptures the more I see how God works for us, through us, and for others from us. Just like the prophet Paul talks to re early church followers. God uses his past to bring others to know christ. Through Mary he brought the world a blessing that brought about salvation. So what is it that can be done through us to bring others to know christ. The way we live, the way we share our testimony( even if it's going on the wrong path and coming back), ministering to those that need our mercy to be an angel in God's place. Our performance and acceptance to take upon us the promises we have made through covenants with god can bring about a great work. We might not know how just even being an example and an ambassador in his name can effect another person. What little seeds we can plant in another's heart because we choose to perform and show God's love through us for another human being. I read from one of the prophets that our energy of love can brings others to know christ for themself. Have you ever thought about what blessed means one description of the word is made holy; consecrated. Let's look at the word consecrated it means to be made sacred. There is a sacredness that God holds on us in the service of doing his work. How can that be? It's because our performance to do his work reveals where our heart is truly at in God's work. How we treat others is how we feel about ourself. God doesn't ask us to go out of our means he asks us to perform his work in all that we can and would do if we need it ourself by treating others the way we would want to treat ourself.
