Questions I Ask Why we do what we do
I've been reading a book and its been making my mind wonder on family and the whole entire way we perceive ourselves with god. Here"s what i wrote and some of the things i wrote down in my journal. i write it because i know there are others out there that may be going through the same thing or have questioning the same way i have. maybe in the end we can open our hearts and learn from each other.
My question of the day...... If I truly know that God and Jesus Christ are real and believe in their power to be saved by Christs grace then why do I sometimes struggle to so what is right? to live the daily to trust him that he will guide me through my day unstead of worry about what the world thinks? If i also know that my children know him just as much as i know him why do we struggle to do his work and look on our own intent when we have so much that we can offer to the world if only we give into him and ask him what he needs us to do today? is it because of the challenges we face to get past satan? Is it because of the power that satan holds to confuse us to place fear onto us? is that because satan knows the work that can be done so he tempts us to go against the things we believe or make us feel unvaluable to god that we fear who we should be fighting against? So what is it that truly holds us back from doing god's will? we each have our free agency. we each have an inate feeling inside of us to know god to know right from wrong. so what is it that holds us back from being christ-like?
Why is that we fear man at times more that we fear god? Why don"t we look at it the opposite way and fear god more than we fear man? so what is it that can get us past these challenges so we are learning from them and take on a new challenge so we can progress and face other challenges in our life? what is it that we need to do to bring his prsence his spirit in our life to live a more christ-like life? How can we get past the hate the heartache we have felt from being acted upon by others by those we either have trusted or those complete strangers that have acted upon us? we know that not all individuals are the same there are people in this world that are kind and good who belive in god just as much as us, but how do we move on? We know god is there wwe know god is a merciful God and loves his unconditional. do we truly belive we can help others by the experiences we have gone through to do god's will?
I know god is waitng there with open arms like the prodigal father in the scriptures and us being the prodigal child. My mind is racing with questions. my mind is wondering. But who are we truly when we start asking questions and seek for answers? In the LDS religion we are taught we are all children of God from the time we enter the church house is just believing we truly are and finding that answer inside ourself. no matter what we are going through we all seek gods deity we seek the deity of others. when deep down some of us truly know gods love but reject it to seek others approval to seek our own approval. i know this because i know who god is i know who his son is but there are days i feel like why do i seek answers in the wrong place unstead of getting sown on my knees and praying to him. We are also taught that in our patriarchal blessings when we read them can be a road map to us. to help guiede us of our divine mission here. Especialy when we turn to god in prayer and ask him who are we? and what is my role in this life? Deep down i truly know i am a child of god just like all of you out there! At times i do wonder where does my role fit in?as of that of each child here on this earth? and how will that role effect others when i let the spirit take over? because i know my actions place a role on just raising my own children and my choices affect us just as much as their choices in ways can affect me as will. we all play a role with each other we play such a big role in each others lives. we can be someone that brings another up or we can be one that brings another down we can can encourage or just be a listening ear. I think what role would i like to play in life on another? i preferably would like to play the role of a positive influence and show god like love to others, and to show that htere is actually human kindness in this world. Id like to cause that ripple affect and to show another human being that they are worth as much as the dirt that i walk on. because with out that dirt id fall into eternal abyss. know ground to walk on. That hey will be able to pass that on to the next person that they meet to show them the same god-like love that i just shown them.
God sees us as worth. why is it hard for us at time to see ourselves as that worth that god sees us as? that our role on this earth is greater even though we feel so small thatn we can imagine. just by showing another what god would want us to show. to pray for another. to hold fast to his word. Can you imagine looking through gods eyes and to look at ourself the way he sees us. how much would we change or how much would we want to get to know him or how much would we break down and cry to know that we are of worth to know that he sees us differently thatn we see our self? if we looked at ourself that way what would we change and would we accept the love that we see our father in heaven give to us? god continues to love us in our most deepest saddest momonets of despair even when we think he isnt there. i know this because i knew when i was on my path of making wrong choices i know he tried to get my attention to let me know he still loved me. sometime i would wlk into a room and look at a book of mormon and walk right past or even the bible. or just having my parents or my friends reach out to me and let me know i was all right and let me know that god still loved me. i write this because i do have questions i am fighting my way back to knowing me again to knowing god again? because i fight to teach the values i know to my children by being a daily example. so they can instill and know god learn of him especially be able to turn to him when they feel like all they ahve to turn to is god. just like i did when i needed him the most and everyday of my life. its a fight we are worth his love and he is there.
