Peter's Mother In-law

Found in mathew 8:14-15, Mark 5:22-24, and Luke 8:41,49-56 In the story of Peter's mother in-law Christ walks into Peter's house. Seeing Peter's wife's mother laying there sick in bed due to a fever. Jesus touches her hand and the fever left her. She then arose and ministers to them.(paraphrased) It amazes me the faith she had to of had from being sick to getting up and persuming her household duties. How many of us after having a fever even want to get up and clean house? I know i would rather take the extra time and feel better. When we look at how much strength returned to her and how she was renewed in health we can see how christ can work in us when we feel sick or troubled. When we least expect that renewal to come in our life we feel as though we can do anything. Mary Returning From Egypt

Mathew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child' s life and he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. The story of Joseph and Mary and the child comes back to reurning to Israel. Even in more verses where Joseph heard that herods son ruled in his stead that he was warned to go into Galilee. Where the next prophecy would be fulfilled that he should be called a Nazarene. I started wondering how Mary's story of returning to egypt from disaster comes to light in my life. As i pondered upon it the thought crossed my mind. She had full faith in god to believe that an angel talked to her husband and return. That god would make a way even in the turbulance of their families life that they would be safe as they returned back to where he wants them to be ...
